Real Fan Conduct Code
-How Fans Transact Successfully-
FreeTicketExchange is committed to our real fan community and in order to make it a success we need all fans to agree to our Real Fan Conduct Code. All fans in our community depend on each other to keep FreeTicketExchange safe and a fan-only marketplace. Here are the rules of the site that all FreeTicketExchange members agree to upon joining the site. These topics and the other rules that govern use of the site are covered more fully in the Terms of Use. As always, since the fans run the show here, we welcome your feedback.
An Accepted Transaction is a Contract Between the Parties
Once you agree to a transaction, you enter into a binding contract with your
transacting fan. Do not offer/list a ticket you are unwilling to sell, or
make an offer on a ticket you are unwilling to buy.
Eligibility to Transact
All accepted offers are a binding contract, therefore you must be 18 years of
age or older in order to make a transaction on FreeTicketExchange. If you are
under 18 and would like to buy or sell a ticket, you need permission to use the
site from your parent or guardian.
Your Account and Password
You need to keep your FreeTicketExchange account password confidential because
you are responsible for any exchange that takes place under your fan name.
Account passwords can be changed at any time by visiting
My Profile and updating the
password section.
Your Fan Name
Your exchange history is important to other members; therefore, fans are not
allowed to change or transfer their fan names. Allowing name changes would make
it much easier for a deceitful person to avoid a bad exchange record and take
advantage of people. So choose a family appropriate fan name that you will be
happy with for the life of your account.
Use of Other Users’ Personal Information
Once an exchange is agreed upon, exchanging fans are provided with each other’s
names, e-mail addresses and mailing addresses. This information is provided so
that the exchange can be completed, tickets can be delivered to each fan, and so
that you can use e-mail to check with each other on the delivery status of your
tickets. In order to protect members’ privacy, there are a few rules regarding
the contacting of an exchanging fan for any other reason. See the
Terms of Use for more information. If you think
another user has violated these rules with respect to your personal information,
please contact FreeTicketExchange support.
Accepting Ticket Risk
All fans accept the risk that tickets have a specific date and time and are
non-fundable items. If you have a scheduled conflict, or are unhappy with the
performance you do not have the right to get your money back. However, please
share your experience with our community so everyone can benefit and you can
find an event better suited for you next time.
Avoid Credit Card Charge Backs
FreeTicketExchange has made a promise to our fans to keep our site free of fees.
In order to help us keep it this way, we need you to avoid credit card charge
backs. If accidentally, you ordered Fan Cash or had a dispute with another fan,
please resolve it with us first. We will work with you to ensure you are happy.
Fraudulent Tickets and Events
On FreeTicketExchange you can only sell tickets which are official. If unsure of
the source of your ticket, please verify it before hand. Posting a fraudulent
ticket or event could lead to expulsion from the site. If you end up with a
fraudulent ticket our team will investigate your claim and refund you
accordingly with our Real Fan Satisfaction Guarantee.
Making a false claim about a fraudulent ticket or event could also lead to
expulsion from the site.
Inappropriate Tickets/Pictures
Please do not upload tickets or pictures that include inappropriate and/or
pornographic content. Items deemed inappropriate by the community are subject to
site removal at our discretion.
Prompt Delivering/Shipping Your Ticket
Because of the timely nature of event tickets, it is very important that you
mail any tickets you sell as soon as possible after the transaction is
finalized. Sending a ticket too late after the ticket has been purchased, so
that the buying fan cannot attend the event, will result in an investigation
into the details of the transaction by our team and may end up in the earned
Fan Cash from the transaction being deducted from the selling fan’s account. If a
fan is found to have sent tickets too late in numerous occasions, the fan may be
suspended.
As a seller of a ticket, you are responsible for making sure the ticket is
delivered in a timely manner. You must work out with the buying fan how the
ticket will be shipped. Don’t forget to also rate and leave feedback about the
buying fan so that, in the future, other fans will be able to better decide who
they want to transact with. For further information on Ratings and Feedback,
please see the section below labeled Fan Ratings and Feedback.
Receiving Your Ticket
After receiving your ticket and upon attending the event, it is very important
that you rate and add feedback about the selling fan and the event. This will
ensure that other fans interested in transacting with the selling fan will be
able to better decide if they want to transact with him/her. In addition, it
will help other fans decide which events they want to attend. For further
information on Ratings and Feedback, please see the section below labeled Fan
Ratings and Feedback.
Fan Ratings and Feedback
When it comes to a business transaction, we all like to work with people we
trust and who have a record of fair dealing. That's why FreeTicketExchange lets
members leave feedback about their exchange experience with others. And we let
you decide who you feel comfortable doing business with, based on their exchange
histories. The user rating system tells you how fans have performed in past
transactions, based on the feedback left by their past exchange partners.
When looking at a fan’s user rating, you should keep in mind that disagreements
can arise between users and that a single piece of negative feedback, or very
few in an otherwise positive exchange history, shouldn't necessarily mark the
user as a bad bet to exchange with. In addition, we recommend that you also read
any comments left about a fan by former exchange partners, which can give more
information.
Because a fan’s rating is so important, you are asked to use common sense and
good judgment when leaving feedback for another fan of the FreeTicketExchange
community. Specifically, keep in mind that you cannot go back and edit feedback
that you have already left, and the feedback you leave will become a permanent
part of a fan’s rating. You also want to avoid making comments that could be
libelous or defamatory.
In order to keep the integrity of the Rating and Feedback system, you are not
allowed to do anything that may hinder the quality of the feedback. You may not
do anything that will undeservedly raise your rating or feedback. For example,
you may not harass the fan you are transacting with in order to force them to
leave good feedback where good feedback is not deserved.
Settling Disputes
In the rare event that a dispute arises between fans, the best idea is to try to
work it out privately through e-mail before leaving feedback. If, for example,
you receive a ticket that is in a slightly different seat or section, you might
want to e-mail your exchange partner before doing anything else. You can say
you're dissatisfied and perhaps that you'd like to return the ticket, possibly
also getting back your shipping costs. If the other fan agrees, you might
consider holding back on giving that person negative feedback. Usually the
possibility of negative feedback, which can harm a fan’s ability to exchange, is
enough to bring about a resolution.
If you can't remedy the situation, you are free to leave negative feedback,
including any brief comments you wish to add.
FreeTicketExchange provides a community where fans can exchange and leave
feedback, but the site is not actually involved in fans’ transactions. For this
reason, and under the terms of the Terms of Use, we don’t play a role in
mediating fan disputes. However, you can make us aware of the situation so we
can keep a history and play a role in keeping you satisfied. We do not want the
few bad eggs to ruin your experience.
Suspension
The FreeTicketExchange exchange community is full of users just like you, who
behave responsibly with their exchange partners. However, as in any community,
there are always a few bad eggs. Under the Terms of Use, FreeTicketExchange may
warn or suspend a fan if they breach any part of the Terms of Use, including
defrauding other members.
